Here we focus on building lasting relationships with our business partners and providing value-add services through SOX 404 testing, operational audits, and other ad-hoc projects.
This role typically reports into a Senior Manager Internal Audit and is based in our Buckhead office.
Perform walkthroughs and testing to validate the Company's compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley Section 404; document work performed, communicate exceptions, and follow-up with control owners on deficienciesTest and document financial and IT computer systems records for control of access, information integrity, and transaction accuracyPerform internal audits and special reviews of Company functions, processes, and other activities to ensure reliability and integrity of information, proper recording of transactions, safeguarding of assets, and compliance with policies and procedures. Internal Audit programs/projects will be defined in the annual Internal Audit plan and will include activities in the following areas: financial, operational, compliance, and/or information technology (IT)Continuously improve internal audit approaches, tools and methodologies, and productivityProvide ad-hoc analyses as requestedMust have: BA/BS RequiredStrong written and verbal communication skillsMotivation and go-getter attitude - Great team playerGreat project management skills; detailed and deadline-orientedMinimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 (3.2 GPA or higher strongly preferred)Required to have graduated within 6 months of class start dateMust be able to start in the role full time by January 2025.Maintain the following knowledge: Basic understanding of auditing, GAAP, and Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) Section 404, risk and controlsBasic understanding of data analysis and information technology techniquesBasic understanding of fraud prevention/detection/awareness/auditing techniquesGood analytical, written communication, interpersonal, listening, interviewing, organizational, consulting, and presentation skillsWorking knowledge of Microsoft Products (i.e. Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, etc.)Strong relationship skillsPreferred skills and experience: Finance/Accounting degree preferredCPA, CIA, CISA, or CFE preferred, with a willingness to pursue professional designation if not currently heldOUR TEAM MEMBERS: Lead Courageously: Have a strong sense of personal values that align with our Company valuesCollaborates Broadly: Build cooperation, trust, and thrive in a consensus driven environmentCustomer Focus: Proactively seek opportunities to leverage data and fact-based insights to serve customers and/or internal clientsDrive Growth: Set aggressive goals and implement plans preciselyCultivates Innovation: Respectfully challenge the 'we've always done it this way' mentality and explore new ways to achieve desired outcomesMAKE A CAREER AT CARTER'S: Career Development: Success starts from within, and we have several paths from which you can choose to enhance your career evolution.
