The Associate is a senior level position responsible for assisting clients in raising funds in the capital markets, as well as in providing strategic advisory services for mergers, acquisitions and other types of financial transactions in coordination with the Institutional Banking team. The Associate also serves as an intermediary in trading for clients. The overall objective of this role is to act as a strategic advisor to our clients by formulating investment strategies and raising capital for clients.Responsibilities:Perform client asset technical evaluations, including analyzing and delivering data to identify key performance drivers and economic analysisGenerate presentation materials for pre-marketing documents and data room presentations using client or public data for supportLead or assist with the coordination of executing mandates and external project meetings, as requiredAssist with the development of new business activitiesPrepare data rooms based on data supplied by clientsMarket assets to potential buyers by presenting analysis to large groups and following up on buyer's questions and answersAssist with miscellaneous technical project related duties, as requiredAppropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.Qualifications:10-20 years of experience in a related senior level roleProficient in Microsoft Office, Spotfire, economics software such as Aries and PHDWin, and other analytical software is a plusAbility to demonstrate discretion dealing with confidential mattersFundamental knowledge of cash flow, economics and rate of returnDemonstrated ability to assess technical risk in economic valuationsProven ability to perform various concurrent activities/project in a high-risk environmentConsistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication skillsProven influencing and relationship management skillsEducation:Bachelor's degree/University degree or equivalent experienceMaster's degree preferredThis job description provides a high-level review of the types of work performed.
