Job Overview: The Investment and Finance Director will oversee all aspects of portfolio management, strategic financial planning, and operational management for a Single Family Office / private investment group, based in Henderson, NV. The role requires an individual with deep experience in managing a diversified portfolio of traditional and alternative investments, as well as leading financial analysis, compliance, and team management. This individual will also provide strategic input for private equity deal cycles and tax optimization, and serve as a key advisor on sustainable and themed investment strategies. Key Responsibilities: Oversee the overall portfolio management, including asset allocation, private equity deal cycles, tax coordination, financial planning, and risk management. Manage a diverse portfolio including public and private equity, fixed income, hedge funds, real estate (both direct and fund investments), commodities, cryptocurrencies, and digital assets. Lead external financial advisory teams, trust and estate planning attorneys, and CPAs to enhance investment performance, improve processes, tax savings, asset protection, and compliance. Conduct regular meetings with external portfolio managers to review portfolio holdings / performance and rebalance as needed Develop and implement sustainable investment strategies and new diversified investment approaches focused on private equity portfolio companies Coordinate tax-loss harvesting with financial advisors and CPAs, and ensure efficient tax preparation and filing for both individual and corporate tax returns. Provide ongoing financial research, market analysis, asset allocation advice, and performance measurement reports to management. Manage, and optimize the Single Family Office and its related entities, including accounting, financial planning and budgeting, SIMPLE IRA programs, employee benefits, and IT infrastructure. Identify and evaluate new private equity investment opportunities, conduct financial and legal due diligence, prepare data rooms, and manage internal and external teams during deal cycles. Prepare financial return models, including LBO modeling, and partner with portfolio company management teams post-acquisition to drive growth initiatives and strategic planning. Serve on the board of portfolio companies and contribute to corporate governance, financial planning, and operational strategy as needed. Ensure compliance across multiple entities, including the private family foundation, and develop internal policies and procedures to improve operational efficiency. Assist with the foundation of new ventures and manage state and local tax incentives and abatements for new companies. Conduct detailed financial analysis for acquiring commercial real estate, including cash flow projections, investment return models, cap rate analysis, and financing structures Oversee property management of the company's commercial real estate portfolio, coordinating with property managers, real estate agents, and attorneys on tenant relations, lease agreements, and maintenance. Source loans for real estate and other investments, and negotiate financing terms with bankers and lenders to secure favorable deals. Qualifications: 5+ years of experience in investment management, financial planning, and portfolio oversight, preferably in a Single Family Office setting. Proven experience managing a diversified portfolio with exposure to public and private equity, fixed income, hedge funds, real estate, and alternative investments. Strong knowledge of tax optimization, financial analysis, estate planning, and compliance. Experience leading teams of external advisors, attorneys, and CPAs to execute complex investment and financial strategies. Excellent financial modeling skills, including proficiency in LBO and other return models. Strong project management skills with a proven track record Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, accounting, or a related field. An advanced degree (MBA, CFA, CPA) is preferred. Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams and external partners. Preferred Experience: Experience with sustainability investment strategies. Hands-on experience in launching start-ups or managing early-stage investments. Knowledge of tax structures such as 1031 exchanges and cost segregation studies. Previous board experience or active involvement in portfolio company management is a plus.
