Position Summary
The Associate IT Business Analyst will support the IT department by analyzing business processes, identifying areas for improvement, and assisting in implementing technology solutions that enhance business operations.
This role involves collaborating with various stakeholders to gather requirements, document processes, and contribute to project deliverables.
The Associate IT Business Analyst will gain hands-on business analysis experience while working under senior team members' guidance.
The salary range for this role is 90k-120k
Essential Functions and Responsibilities
Requirements Gathering: Assist in gathering and documenting business requirements from stakeholders through interviews, workshops, and observation, and help translate business needs into functional and technical requirements for IT solutions.
Documentation: Create clear, concise, comprehensive business and functional requirements and knowledge base documents.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of business processes, requirements, and project deliverables.
Prepare reports and presentations to communicate analysis results and recommendations to stakeholders.
Process Analysis: Analyze existing business processes and workflows to identify inefficiencies and areas for improvement.
Create process flow diagrams, use cases, and other documentation to communicate findings.
Solution Development Collaborate with IT teams to develop and implement solutions that meet business requirements.
Assist in the testing and validation of IT solutions to ensure they meet the needs of the business.
Stakeholder Engagement: Work closely with stakeholders, including business users, IT teams, and project managers, to ensure clear communication and alignment on project goals.
Assist in facilitating meetings and workshops to gather input and provide updates on project progress.
Support and Training: Provide support to end-users during the implementation of new systems or processes.
Assist in creating user guides and training materials for new IT solutions.
Continuous Learning: Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies related to business analysis and IT.
Participate in training and development opportunities to enhance business analysis skills.
Qualifications and Experience
Minimum Qualifications:
Experience: 3-5 years of experience in an IT business analysis or IT support role
Basic understanding of business analysis methodologies and tools.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio).
Familiarity with project management tools (e.g., JIRA, Trello) is a plus.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in the Managed Print industry is a plus.
Experience with JIRA, Confluence, and Miro board tools
