Evolver Federal is seeking an IT Inventory Technician that has a broad knowledge of IT Asset & Inventory functions with strong customer service skills and an asset management background.
The job functions will be performed on-site during normal operating hours (weekdays from 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.) in Washington, DC. It is desirable for the Technician to have basic knowledge of IT equipment (including printers, PCs, iOS devices) and common software programs (Microsoft Office - Outlook, Word, Excel), and be able to work with a trouble-ticketing system.
Responsibilities This is an essential position and requires work on-site in Washington, DC (next to Smithsonian Metro) daily with occasional travel to other offices in Virginia and Maryland. Log and track inquiries using a problem management (Remedy) database and maintain history records and related problem documentation. Support activities relating to the life-cycle management of IT assets, including the maintenance and management of centralized inventory control, in-processing of new IT orders/equipment, verifying acceptance of delivery, comparing packing slips and purchase orders, assessing equipment for damage, and notifying the customer of any discrepancy. The technician will retrieve accountable assets from secure storage locations and work with end users on the return of equipment. Pack and ship IT assets when required. Rely on instructions and established guidelines to perform the functions of the job. Ability to perform wall to wall inventory and capture post snapshot changes accurately. Monitor email requests and respond to moderately complex customer inquiries relating to disposition of assets. Follow up with customers to ensure that customer inquiries are resolved within the contracted or agreed upon timeframe and quality levels. Basic Requirements Two (2) years of Asset/Inventory Management experience relating to the life-cycle management of IT assets through an Asset Management Database System. 1 year of experience working with Microsoft Office (Excel and Outlook) and Dell, Apple, and HP High School Diploma or G.E.D. Must be able to lift 50 lbs. US Citizen with the ability to pass a Government Background/Badging Investigation Preferred Requirements Three (3) years of Asset/Inventory Management experience relating to the life-cycle management of IT assets through an Asset Management Database System.
