Job Description
IT Tech Support Technician POSITION: IT Support Technician
LOCATION: Greenville Technical Charter High School
DEADLINE FOR APPLICATION: Open until filled
SALARY RANGE: $35,000-$40,000
POSITION SUMMARY: Assists Director of IT with day to day technology operations. Work schedule is variable but will primarily be within the school workday from 7:45 to 3:45. The candidate that is selected will be primarily responsible for all end user support inquiries.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Assist Students and Staff with any technical issue they may encounter Ensure that all classroom technology is 100% operational at all times Monitor data networks to ensure that all equipment remains online and notify the Director of IT of any outages or abnormalities Respond swiftly to all IT Help Desk tickets Maintain documentation of any changes made in the production environment Assist Director of IT with the management of all; data networks, security cameras, VOIP systems, Azure active directory, Google Workspace, and cyber security All other duties as assigned REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES: Knowledge of basic IP addressing and shall demonstrate familiarity with the OSI and TCP/IP Data Network Models Understanding of basic network protocols such as DNS, etc Experience with Windows based operating systems Ability to communicate effectively with students and staff Ability to troubleshoot complex problems with minimal assistance Desire and drive to advance knowledge and skills related to IT REQUIRED EDUCATION: High school graduate or GED and some post-secondary education
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE: 1 Year of prior IT experience. Education can be substituted for
experience on a year by year basis.
