Compensation: $70,000-$110,000/year This position requires that you are physically active during your shift. This may include, but is not limited to, running, driving, stooping, bending and lifting. How do our Shop Foreman Technicians Drive Impact? Our Semi-Skilled Technicians come in everyday and work hands on at our dealership alongside pros of the industry. You will become familiar with all of Walser's vehicle line-up, the inner workings of our dealership, and will be an integral part of our service team.
- Responsible for accomplishing individual technician duties - Assisting other technicians with diagnostics - Diagnosing a vehicle before the Workshop Manager dispatches it to a technician - Communicate with Workshop Manager for duties and placement - Perform work as outlined on the repair order with efficiency and accuracy, in accordance with dealership and factory standards - Examine assigned vehicle to determine if further safety or service work is required or recommended - Diagnose & repair to specifications- brake & hydraulic, exhaust, primary and/or advanced fuel ignition & electrical, suspension & alignment, air conditioning, & computer systems - Communicate with service advisor immediately if additional work is needed, if work outlined is not needed, or if repairs cannot be completed within the promised time - Road test vehicles when required - Understand, keeps abreast of, and comply with federal, state, and local regulations, such as hazardous waste disposal, OSHA Right-to-- Know, etc. - Communicate with parts department to obtain needed parts - Keep abreast of manufacturer technical bulletins - Utilization of Truvideo/Estimate tool - Document all work performed on the repair order - Participate in manufacturer-sponsored training programs as assigned by service manager and remain up to date - Operate all tools and equipment in a safe manner - Must wear Safety Eyewear at all times when in the service department - Must wear hard-toed shoes and slip resistant footwear
