As a Key Money Specialist, you will be instrumental in managing business relationships with key merchants. Your expertise will help drive revenue growth, enhance merchant processing capabilities, and ensure client satisfaction.
Position Purpose: Your mission as a Key Money Specialist is to nurture and expand relationships within the merchant services sector. Using your industry knowledge and experience, you will act as a trusted advisor to key merchants, offering tailored solutions to optimize their payment processing capabilities.
You will collaborate with internal teams to ensure merchants receive comprehensive support that aligns with their long-term goals. Your role will go beyond transactions; you will empower merchants with insights and expertise, fostering a collaborative environment for sustainable growth and innovation within the mid-market segment.
By consistently delivering exceptional service and strategic guidance, you will position our company as the preferred partner for merchants aiming to excel in today's competitive business landscape.
This role involves individual contributions based in major metropolitan cities aligned with our job sites. It requires travel to customer locations, with an expected travel range of 25-50%. Key customers may be located across the United States.
What You'll Bring
Experience: Minimum of 7+ years in quota-carrying software or technology sales, focusing on corporate account management within the merchant services industry.
Expertise: Extensive industry knowledge and a proven track record in driving revenue growth and enhancing client satisfaction.
Account Management: Experience managing accounts with multiple locations and annual revenues exceeding $25M.
Financial Processes: Deep understanding of Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable processes related to money movement.
SaaS Solutions: Familiarity with SaaS platform solutions and customized master service agreements within the merchant services domain.
Industry Standards: Knowledge of merchant service industry standards, including rates, cost analysis, and risk management.
Skills: Strong business acumen, emotional intelligence, and sales skills, with the ability to innovate and iterate.
Software Sales: Prior experience in selling accounting, ERP, or financial management software is advantageous.
Sales Tools: Proficiency in managing large prospect pipelines through Salesforce and supporting partners throughout the sales process.
Sales Methodologies: Familiarity with sales methodologies such as Challenger, SPIN, Solution, or Sandler.
Collaboration: Understanding of client management lifecycle and the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
Education: Bachelor's degree or MBA preferred.

Stakeholder Engagement: Leverage key stakeholders and cross-functional teams to influence the buying process and deliver comprehensive solutions.
Relationship Management: Serve as a single point of contact for merchants, facilitating relationship growth and execution of solutions.
Resource Utilization: Utilize resources efficiently to streamline deal closures and enhance scalability.
Success Metrics: Measure success through metrics such as annual quota attainment, close rates, pipeline velocity, and retention improvements.
