Title: Laboratory Operations Technician IILocation: Columbus, OhioDuration: 11 Month AssignmentDuties and Responsibilities:· Laboratory Glassware· Gathering laboratory glassware from various work areas.· Use industrial dishwashers to thoroughly clean and sanitize the laboratory glassware.· Ensure proper labelling and handling of the collected glassware.· Return the cleaned glassware to their respective laboratory areas promptly.· Sample Management and Collaboration:· Receive samples into the Research and Development (R&D) sample inventory.· Pull daily samples for testing by the laboratories.· Properly dispose of bulk samples according to guidelines at the end of testing protocols.· Attention to detail and accurate record keeping.· Communicate effectively with the Laboratory Operations staff to ensure seamless daily operations.· Independently or with minimal support, undertake project work to support area goals or improvements.· Collaborate with team members to identify and implement process improvements.· Document and report on project progress and outcomes.Qualifications:· To excel in this position, you should possess:· Attention to Detail: Accurate record keeping and handling of samples, glassware, and equipment is crucial.· Physical Strength: Some tasks may involve lifting or moving heavy glassware or sample trays.· Effective Communication Skills: Clear communication with colleagues and inventory staff is essential.Education:· Degree at the Associate or Bachelor level is required.· 1+ years of experience in a similar role is required.Abbott is a global healthcare leader that helps people live more fully at all stages of life.
