Job summary
We are seeking a Landscape Architect for a Civil Engineering company in Charlotte, NC.The successful candidate will have experience in detailed planting design and large-scale community planning.Projects include park and recreation facilities, educational facilities, and municipal projects.
Job seniority: director level and above
Responsibilities
• Assist with marketing and business development.• Manage projects and staff, including mentoring less experienced staff.• Prepare site plans, specifications, and cost estimates for land development.• Consult with clients, engineering personnel, and architects.• Compile and analyze data for environmental reports and landscape plans.• Produce hand and computer-generated drawings.• Inspect landscape work and ensure compliance with specifications.• Deliver projects to clients.• Maintain positive communication with staff, clients, and subcontractors.• Follow company safety policies and procedures.
Requirements
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in landscape architecture, urban and regional planning, or related field.• Professional licensure in landscape architecture or civil engineering.• Strong computer skills, including AutoCAD and Adobe Creative Suite.• Knowledge and application of Complete Streets and Smart Cities.• Working knowledge of Revit is a plus.• Knowledge of horticulture and site sustainability is a plus.• Skilled in hand-drawn sketches and statistical report preparation.• Ability to work independently and in a team.• Excellent communication skills.• 10+ years of related experience.• Land Development design experience preferred.• Valid Driver's License.
