Key Responsibilities Organize daily team workload and delegate tasks as needed Inspect and supervise site prep and report to the Project Manager Troubleshoot and resolve any issues throughout the construction process Assist the Project Manager in planning and overseeing remodeling projects Lead a team of carpenters and laborers on-site, ensuring high standards of craftsmanship and compliance with safety regulations Coordinate and oversee subcontractors and in-house service team while ensuring quality control of each and every project from start to finish Manage project schedules, ensuring timely completion of tasks Conduct quality control checks and ensure compliance with building codes and regulations Maintain effective regular communication with clients, team members, and subcontractors Create, manage, and properly document all areas of the project according to company guidelines, including photo documentation. Qualifications 5 years of experience as a carpenter with at least 1 year as a lead carpenter or in a similar role Hands-on carpentry experience and an expert-level understanding of carpentry techniques, construction, and installation methods. Proficiency in the use of various electrical and manual equipment, and measurement tools. A good understanding of basic math for calculating measurements in all units. Ability to withstand prolonged periods of physical activity and manual labor. Proficiency with simple project management software and basic computer applications Strong leadership and team-building skills Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints for construction About Us Norsemen is a locally owned, family-operated home remodeling company based in Louisville KY.
