UT Government is looking to add a Traveling Security Technician to their team.
The Traveling Security Technician is responsible for the installing, service, testing and inspection of a wide range of access control and IP Camera products and systems.
As a customer facing employee, the Traveling Security Technician must be a personable, knowledgeable self-starter who is capable of making sound decisions that are in the best interest of the customer and Unlimited Technology.
The Traveling Security Technician must possess basic troubleshooting skills and will work under the direction and supervision of various departments.
Duties and Responsibilities
Service and test various Access Control and IP Camera products and platforms.
Must be able to read and comprehend engineered drawings.
Must have a basic understanding of door hardware installation.
Thoroughly complete all necessary paperwork relating to job tickets.
Must be able to travel up to 100% of the time.
Maintain a safe working environment at all times.
Communicate all project activity to the UTI project manager or appropriate manager in a timely manner.
Maintain a safe driving record and report any incidents or near misses to management immediately.
Requirements
High school diploma or state-recognized equivalent.
At least one (1)to five (5) years of security installation experience and network ability.
Knowledgeable of security equipment systems (i.e., intrusion detection, assessment, and access control).
Capable of installing and maintaining various alarms, access control, and assessment system devices.
Valid state driver license with a clean driving record for the last three (3) years.
Ability to obtain and retain a U.S. Government Security Clearance preferred DCJS Certified or ability to obtain is required.
Prior troubleshooting experience.
Security industry certifications.
Knowledge of: Software House, Lenel, AMAG, Galaxy, Brivo, Bosch, Southwest Microwave, Genetec, and/or Onssi.
Pay Range
$50,000—$90,000 USD
