Summary: The Lease Operator is responsible for daily operations, upkeep and maintenance of all producing wells on an assigned route. Ensures all work is performed in compliance with Company policies and procedures including environmental, health and safety standards. This position reports to the Superintendent and is on a rotating shift with a minimum of 10 hrs. per day/shift. Responsibilities: Daily measurement and recording of production volumes of oil, water, and gas. It is critical to note and report variances. Accurately input production data into ProdView system daily Call in oil and water loads needing to be hauled. Recycle oil tanks to maintain saleable oil Monitor equipment for proper operation and condition. This includes the visual inspection of all equipment, including wellheads, tanks, dikes, and pad location. Perform minor maintenance to production equipment including, but not limited to, heater treaters, separator, engines, pumping units, and meters. Report concerns and potential issues requiring additional help to the Field Foreman Respond to any emergency or call out situation. As time allows, aid other lease operators in their daily duties. Key Competencies: Computer literate with basic computer skills Must have mechanical abilities to perform routine tasks with paying attention to detail. Must be dependable, trustworthy, and punctual. Able to communicate and work effectively with Company personnel, service contractors, oil, and water transporters, and NDIC field representatives. Required Qualifications: Active driver's license and safe driving record Familiarity with oil and gas measurement processes and data gathering. Experience with rod lift, electrical submersible pumps, and multi-well commingled facilities Preferred Qualifications: H2S Training HAZWOPER Certification First Aid / CPR Certification Physical Requirements: (with or without reasonable accommodation) Ability to lift up to 25 pounds consistently and without assistance. Manual dexterity sufficient to operate a computer keyboard and calculator. Ability to work in harsh weather conditions and around fumes.
