The ideally qualified Licensed Civil Engineer P.E. will have the following skills and experience:
Licensed Professional Engineer, P.E. (Civil) in California (Highly Preferred)
Bachelors degree or higher in Civil Engineering or closely related field (degree can be substituted by transferable work experience)
A minimum of 5 years of civil engineering industry work experience pertaining to the residential, commercial, or infrastructure land development projects
Must be AutoCAD Civil 3D and Microsoft Office proficient
Transferrable civil engineering experience pertaining to feasibility studies; roadway and infrastructure design; analysis and design of grading, storm drainage, storm detention/retention, water systems, and sanitary sewer systems; erosion control plans; permit processing; constructability analysis; quantities and cost estimates; bid document preparation; and project coordination/administration (Strongly Preferred)
Must have strong communication skills and the demonstrated abilities to work well in a team environment, meet deadlines, and work under minimal supervision.


Licensed Civil Engineer P.E. Role & Responsibilities:
This Associate Level Civil Engineer is expected to understand land development practice and design at a self-sufficient level. Under the direction of a Civil Engineer Project Manager, the Associate Civil Engineer is responsible for coordinating with clients, consultants and agencies and managing budgets on multiple projects to deliver projects on time and at a company standard level as well as mentoring new engineers.
Typical projects include feasibility studies; roadway and infrastructure design; analysis and design of grading, storm drainage, storm detention/retention, water systems, and sanitary sewer systems; erosion control plans; permit processing; constructability analysis; quantities and cost estimates; bid document preparation; and project coordination/administration.
