Our trucking company is looking for a Line Haul Truck Driver to join our team. You will drive a predetermined delivery route, which allows for a almost set schedule. This route is ideal for someone with OTR trucking experience who wants to get home at night. Applicants must have a Class A CDL Operate tractor-trailer combination, including doubles (and triples, where applicable) and/or straight trucksLine Haul Truck Driver Duties and Responsibilities* Drive predetermined delivery route* Make deliveries on schedule* Inspect the vehicle for maintenance issues* Maintain truck log* Communicate with the manager, dispatchers, and other drivers*POSITION OVERVIEW:*Pick up and deliver pre-loaded freight between Service Centers*ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:*1. Operate tractor-trailer combination, including doubles (and triples, where applicable) and/or straight trucks2. Perform daily DOT pre-trip and safety inspections on equipment3. Hook/unhook trailers and converter dollies to/from a tractor and/or trailer4. Perform freight handling using appropriate motorized and manual equipment, including but not limited to: forklift, pallet jack and hand truck5. Secure freight inside trailers using appropriate tools and supplies, including but not limited to: pallets, straps and rope6. Recoup/repair damaged freight when necessary7. Verify and complete required documentation and reports8. Comply with hazardous material regulations and procedures9. Collect and maintain required documentation10. Follow dispatch instructions and communicate with dispatch as required, including but not limited to: delays, arrivals and equipment problems11. Communicate with manager and work closely with management team12. Demonstrate internal and external customer service13. May be required to perform chaining of vehicle tires14. May be required to perform job duties of a road driver or a dock employee where operationally necessary15. Comply with all applicable laws/regulations, as well as company policies/procedures16.
