Hood Packaging is currently recruiting for a Link C Operator - Bottoming for our Wilmington, OH facility who will be responsible for meeting production standards and compliance with housekeeping and safety; work in a safe manner; responsible for ensuring packaging meets or exceeds customers' order specifications and for producing products that meet or exceed customers' expectations; communicate all pertinent information to his/her relief. Assist in assuring HACCP, GMP's, Work Instructions, and Food Safety Quality system requirements (SQF) are in compliance.
Functional Responsibilities
Responsible for assuring finishing specifications are complete according to customer needs. Support finishing in all areas including, bottoming, sewing, and pinch. Complete initial finishing quality monitor, load pallets as needed in stacker (share responsibility with operators), remove pallets from stackers, finish as requested by customer. Weigh first pallet, load palletizer, change banding and stretch wrap as needed, stow pallets in warehouse. Bring in needed finishing supplies. Complete forklift inspection daily. Assist crews as directed by supervisor. All other duties as assigned. Qualifications
High School diploma or GED. Minimum of two (2) years in manufacturing preferred. Skills
Ability to read, write, and understand instructions. Ability to identify, analyze, and accurately perform proper adjustments. Knowledge of multi-wall bags and the bag manufacturing process. Must have the ability to complete Hood Packaging's bag school and/or certification process. Ability to use basic hand tools, ink cart, PH meter, and Zahn cup. Ability to assist A operator in accurately identifying, analyzing, and performing proper adjustments. Ability to assist Link Tuber in set-ups. Ability to lift 35lbs. Bending, stooping, kneeling, and standing in one place for an unlimited amount of time.
