Conduct a wide range of orthopedic surgeries, including fracture repair, joint replacement, arthroscopy and soft tissue repair. Provide emergency care for traumatic injuries requiring immediate surgical intervention. Manage conditions through non-invasive techniques, such as medication or physical therapy, when appropriate. Provide patient education about conditions, treatment options and post-care management strategies. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement patient care plans. Minimum Education Requirements: Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited medical school. Residency training program in orthopedic surgery accredited by the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) or the American Osteopathic Association (AOA).License & Certifications: Board certification in orthopedic surgery from the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery (ABOS) or the American Osteopathic Board of Orthopedic Surgery (AOBOS). Active and unrestricted medical license in New Mexico.
