Job Title: Project Logistics Manager Location: Edwards, CO Department: Operations/Design Reports to: Owner and Principal Designer Employment Type: Full-Time Salary: $75K - $90K Depending Upon Experience Job Overview: Studio James, a luxury interior design firm dedicated to turning visionary designs into reality, is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Project Logistics Manager to join our team. In this pivotal hybrid role, best suited for candidates based in Colorado, you will be at the heart of the action, managing both the operational and logistical processes that ensure the timely procurement, delivery, and installation of high-end furnishings and materials. You'll own and manage the non-design daily tasks that bring our clients' visions to life. As the Project Logistics Manager, you will work closely with our talented team, the Owner, and the Lead Designer to ensure seamless project execution, from ordering and shipping to installation and completion. You will thrive in a fast-paced, high-stakes environment where your organization and multitasking skills are key to success. This is not a standard 9-5 role-if you're looking to "check out" at the end of the day, this isn't for you. Our projects require flexibility, commitment, and occasional after-hours work, including travel for in-person client meetings and installations. Key Responsibilities: •Ownership of Non-Design Tasks: Take charge of coordinating and managing the ordering, production, shipping, receiving, and installation of all hard and soft goods, ensuring flawless execution across all projects. •Client and Vendor Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors, contractors, sub-contractors, and clients, contributing to a supportive professional network. Your clear, detailed, and kind communication will help ensure successful outcomes. •Project Management: Develop and manage project timelines, budgets, and execution plans. Coordinate closely with designers to understand project needs and timelines, and ensure that all phases are executed on schedule. •Procurement: Procure selections previously made by design team and manage high-end materials, furniture, and décor items from luxury vendors, creating purchase orders, tracking shipments, and managing inventory to align with project deadlines. •Logistical Oversight: Oversee all logistics related to deliveries and installations, ensuring materials arrive in perfect condition and are installed according to the project plan. Working closely with the receiving warehouse and build a strong relationship. Coordiante freight claims and repair services for items that do arrive damage. •Problem Solving: Troubleshoot and address logistical challenges, anticipating potential issues and implementing solutions proactively. •Documentation & Proposals: Managing and creating client proposals, purchase orders, and maintaining project documentation. Ensure meticulous organization across all project-related processes. •Physical Support: Occasionally assist with the physical movement of goods during installations (lifting up to 50lbs) and provide hands-on support as needed. Additional Requirements: •Hybrid Role: This position is hybrid, and candidates living in Colorado are preferred. While much of the work can be done remotely, you must be available to travel for in-person client meetings, vendor meetings, sub-contractor meetings and be on-site for all installations as required. •Travel: Flexibility to travel based on client needs and project deadlines is expected and a requirement. Mileage and expense reimbursement will be provided. •Team Days: We value collaboration, and the team meets in-person monthly for strategy sessions and team-building activities. •Hours: While the role is full-time, there will be times when more than 40 hours per week are required, particularly during project installs and deadlines. •Work Ethic: If you're looking for a typical 9-5 job where you can "check out" at the end of the day, this is not the role for you. We require someone who can be flexible and committed to the fast-paced nature of luxury interior design. •Small Business: Experience and/or willingness to work in a small company, 2-3 person team enviroment Skills and Requirements: •Education: Bachelor's degree in Interior Design, Project Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred. •Experience: A minimum of 3+ years in project management and/or logistics, specifically within the interior design, architecture, or luxury goods industries is required. Proven track record of successfully managing complex projects, overseeing budgets, and cultivating strong vendor relationships. •Tech Skills: Proficiency with Adobe Acrobat, Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook. Pervious knowledge in Designer Software Management software is a plus: Ivy, MyStudio, Design Manager. •Organizational Skills: Strong time management, problem-solving, and multitasking abilities. The ability to thrive under tight deadlines and keep projects on track. •Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate with designers, vendors, and clients. Clear speaking voice and a pleasant, professional presence. •Attention to Detail: A keen eye for detail and quality control in managing purchase orders, material tracking, and installations. Catching mistakes before they happen is crucial for this role. •Physical Capability: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs when required during installations. •Reliable Transportation: Valid driver's license and a reliable vehicle (AWD or 4WD) for occasional pickups and deliveries.
