Responsibilities
• Set up and operate machines and equipment in the Machining Department• Work from instructions, shop orders, drawings, and specifications• Perform precision layouts and machine various parts• Meet required tolerances and finish specifications• Perform manual operations as required• Install subassemblies and stress-relieve parts• Balance, install, and dress grinding wheels• Construct bearings using rough and pre-machined castings• Maintain and operate furnaces and equipment• Join split bearings, seals, oil, or collector rings
Requirements
• High School diploma or equivalent• Minimum of 3 years' experience setting up and operating CNC machines• Verifiable relevant training preferred• Working knowledge of machine shop equipment and tools• Ability to understand G-codes and M-codes• Comprehension of blueprints, drawings, and work orders• Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment• Collaborate with employees across all levels of the organization• Self-motivated, detail oriented, with strong organizational skills• Must be willing to work flexible hours and overtime• Physical requirements must be met
Key Skills Needed
• Experience setting tool offsets• Programming experience• Working knowledge of machine shop equipment and tools• Ability to understand G-codes and M-codes• Comprehension of blueprints, drawings, and work orders
