POSITION SCOPE: The Machinist will perform various duties in preparing parts for assembly of equipment, including operating various machining equipment. This is an hourly position that reports directly to the Machining Foreman. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Perform various machining and fabrication duties Assist with checking accuracy and quality of all phases of fabrication Operate basic shop equipment, including shear, press, iron worker, etc. Perform prescribed preventative maintenance on machines as required Maintain accurate records and paperwork for projects Contribute to a positive work environment Demonstrate awareness, engagement, and accountability for work results Communicate effectively and appropriately with others in the work environment Adhere to company policies as dictated in the current employee handbook Take an active role in company programs, meetings, and events COMPETENCIES: Technical Capacity Time Management Problem solving/analysis Results Driven Fisher Industries is an Equal Employment Opportunity Employer and an Equal Opportunity Employer of Protected Veterans and Individuals with Disabilities.
