Role Overview: Could you be our next Mailroom Clerk? Globe Life is looking for a Mailroom Clerk to join the team!
In this role, you will be responsible for the timely and accurate processing of incoming and outgoing mail, internal and external to the organization. Some of the responsibilities and duties of this position include opening, reading, sorting and distributing incoming mail and packages, collecting and processing outgoing mail, data entry of information concerning receipt of courier shipments and Certification Statements.
This is an on-site position located in Oklahoma City, OK. What You Will Do: Sort incoming correspondence, including insurance claim forms and returned mail, in a timely manner. Inscribe date of receipt for incoming mail. Handle daily incoming and outgoing packaging of FedEx, UPS and local carrier shipments. Prep outgoing mail to be delivered to GMS for First Class mail. Pick up and deliver mail and shipments to corridor. Collect and distribute mail to all departments within the organization. Record and maintain records of trackable shipments. Occasionally assist with other team member processing areas as directed by management. What You Can Bring: High School Diploma or equivalent. At least 1 year of experience in a mailroom setting and a production type environment preferred. Basic computer operating skills. Ability to learn new technologies quickly. Logical and efficient, with keen attention to detail. Highly self-motivated and directed. Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks while under pressure. Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment. Ability to thrive in fast paced environment while working independently and with limited supervision. Ability to adapt to new processes and procedures. Confidentiality must be kept at all times. Must have a current Class C TX Driver's License.
