Our company's measurable growth is in no small part due to our team members in North Carolina, Arkansas, Illinois, and Missouri, who each have a seat at the table to contribute to our success Position Summary : This person will be responsible for providing mechanical support in response to operational changes resulting from the malfunction, breakdown, relocation, replacement or other modifications of existing mechanical systems and/or equipment Essential Duties, Functions and responsibilities: Maintain equipment using tools and equipment provided Follows all work safety policies and guidelines Observes equipment operation and be able to fix and troubleshoot any malfunctions and /or safety issues/concerns Performs PM's on equipment on a weekly basis and completes work orders as assigned Adheres to all USDA and GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) product standards and guidelines Maintains a clean and organized area Performs other duties as assigned Accountable to maintain punctual and regular attendance for scheduled work hours Maintain acceptable times for repairs and adjustments to the lines Assist Mechanic Operators on troublesome issues to alleviate downtime Utilize LOTO as required when by passing guards or servicing a piece of equipment Set up/tear down of assigned pieces of equipment on daily basis with minimal wait time Perform emergency equipment repairs either alone or with assistance from other mechanics or team coordinators Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Ability to work in a fast paced environment Ability to communicate effectively and follow verbal and written instructions Follow diagrams, operation manuals and manufacturing instructions Must be able to troubleshoot malfunctions in timely manner and find resolution Must be willing and able to perform physical requirements of the job with or without reasonable accommodation.
