Job Summary: Directs the work activities of multiple maintenance crews comprised of skilled and unskilled personnel; ensures the general maintenance of buildings, grounds, and equipment associated with geographically widespread BCOC properties including, but not limited to, convenience store locations, Branch Office facilities, Bulk Plants, warehouses, and other facilities as assigned. Responsibilities involve maintenance activities in the areas of carpentry, plumbing, electrical, and general building and grounds conditions. The incumbent inspects properties, plans work projects, schedules work to be performed, assigns work to appropriate subordinates, and supervises their activities.
The incumbent must secure and maintain certifications for managing and performing work related to the plumbing, and electrical trades and be licensed to perform construction and maintenance projects requiring carpentry related skills.
Must have the ability to read, write, follow directions, understand schematics, and have knowledge of and ability to apply above average math skills. Must have the ability to plan, schedule, and supervise the work activities of others.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following; other duties may be assigned:
Obtain and maintain certifications or licenses required to perform duties involving plumbing, electrical, and carpentry related functions.
Plan, schedule, supervise, and perform duties within assigned area of responsibility. This involves the determination of priorities and the development of plans of action in utilizing available resources to accomplish maintenance related responsibilities after seeking and receiving higher management approval to proceed.
Perform inspection of BCOC properties and facilities on a regular basis to determine maintenance needs.
Report hazardous, unsafe, or severe maintenance problems to higher management levels in those instances in which an independent decision cannot reasonably be made

Education/Experience: Technical/Trade School graduate or equivalent with minimum of five years experience in the maintenance trades supervised, or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
