Universal Orlando Resort believes in-person collaboration is key to our success. Many of our Team Members work in a hybrid capacity, contributing from the workplace a minimum of three days per week. JOB SUMMARY:

Responsible for supporting the Director and Senior Manager in the development, implementation, and management a world-class field research team capable of meeting the data collection needs of Universal Orlando's Consumer Insights team. Accountable for ensuring the successful completion of all in-park studies using the best, most appropriate field methodologies. Execute all technology and processing elements of in-park guest research as required. Assists in sourcing and managing appropriate technical resources (including tech support) to successfully achieve in-park data collection. Oversees the day-to-day performance and development of Consumer insights field team members. This includes working closely with the exempt, non-exempt and hourly team members. Maintains and ensures the internal compliance of market research standards and promotes department best practices.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

Manages and oversees the collection of infield data collection: Including but not limited to, Point of Origin, CW Profile, Panel, Seasonal adhocs, and Qualitative interviewing requests as needed.
Monitors and reviews project data for quality and performance issues. Disseminates performance metrics monthly to team members as needed.
Participates and assists in overseeing the completion of the following tasks: Completion of schedules, time and attendance reconciliation, and weekly labor summaries. Preparation of team member evaluations, counseling, and termination reports. Development of all department training materials. Coordination of all incentive programs and employee appreciation programs. Assists in the development of action plans for TSAT and communicates findings to the team. Reviews monitoring of field bias reports with supervisors.
Hourly Field Team Development: Reviews and coach's supervisors on how they manage hourly team member work expectations, team captain monitoring standards, and specific work location efficiency techniques. Offers consistent and timely feedback to ensure proper communication and effective team member growth. Offers suggestions and in field mentoring for team captain and Interviewer specialist II's individual growth and development.
Exempt Team Development: Assists in the growth and development of the exempt supervisors. Acts as a mentor and resource for research knowledge, as well as general team member performance and development. Works alongside the supervisors in the field offering guidance and suggestion to aid in their personal leadership development.
Operational Needs: Routinely spends time in the field monitoring and coaching all Consumer Insights projects. Observes and makes recommendations to operational functions, job duties and operation procedures to best suit the department. Build relationships within the company that benefit the department and ensure cohesiveness throughout the resort. Research and stay current with industry trends in research techniques and technology available for field use. Stays current with filed technology trends and offers suggestions as needed to update field equipment.
Understand and actively participate in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established UDX policy, procedures, training, and team member involvement activities.
Perform other duties as assigned

EDUCATION:

Associate/Bachelor degree preferred. Bachelor of Arts, Hospitality, Marketing, Marketing Research or Anthropology preferred.

EXPERIENCE:

5+ years Field Research Management Experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience
