Manager Financial Planning and Performance Key Responsibilities: Lead the Financial Planning & Performance team to deliver top tier budgeting and forecasting.Play a pivotal role in the long-term plan and annual plan processes, providing expert advice on financial strategies and outcomes.Coordinate and deliver high-quality financial analysis and reporting to support key decision-makers across the Council.Drive continuous improvement initiatives, finding innovative ways to "do more with less" in a challenging financial environment.Provide financial leadership on major initiatives, including the water reforms.Work closely with the senior leadership team and partner with stakeholders across the organisation to improve financial outcomes.Ideal Candidate: CA, or equivalent qualification is preferred with at least 5 years' experience.Proven experience in financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting at a senior level.Strong leadership skills, with the ability to guide and mentor a high-performing team.Exceptional analytical skills, with the capacity to turn complex data into actionable insights.Experience working in a Council environment is a plus but not essential.Excellent stakeholder management, with the ability to influence and advise senior leadership.With lots going on at the Kapiti Coast District Council, this is a fantastic time to come onboard where you can get involved and make a real impact.
