Wespath, recognized as a 2017-2023 Chicagos Best and Brightest Companies to Work For and a 2018-2023 National Best and Brightest Companies to Work For, has an opportunity for a Manager - Public Equities that executes and administers the organizations domestic, international, and emerging public equities investment program as directed by the organizations Investment Policy, Guidelines, and Restrictions. The position requires the ability to add value to the organizations investment program through management of financial risk/return through structuring public equity portfolios, selecting and monitoring asset managers, and managing the financial reporting and review process for public equity portfolios. The Manager will supervise an Investment Analyst. More specifically, as the Manager - Public Equities you will: Maintain and cultivate external asset manager relationships, serving as primary relationship contact.Review internal and external reports to improve the oversight and performance of the public equity portfolios.Coordinate and create monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting and disclosure material including Monthly Investment Report, Performance Attribution, Quarterly Investment Summary Report and Investment Funds Description.Monitor financial market developments and provide updates to departmental management regarding the impact on the public equity market.Develop and collaborate on appropriate risk management strategies for Wespaths equity funds.Research and prepare public equities reports and recommendations for the Investments Division, senior leadership, Fiduciary Committee and other internal and external stakeholders.Perform financial analysis for ad hoc allocation and performance analysis.Communicate investment fund information to institutional investors and benefit plan participants through in-person meetings, virtual events, videos, blogs and research papers.Communicate and assist other departments in responding to inquiries from institutional investors, benefit plan sponsors and individual participants.Participate on cross-functional organizational project planning teams.Supervise one Investment Analyst and mentor others on the team.Manager - Public Equities Benefits and Compensation: Medical, dental, vision and well-being benefits from our HealthFlex Exchange on day one.8% employer contribution to retirement plan with an additional match up to 2% on day one.22 days of PTO + 12 paid holidays.Hybrid working arrangement.The compensation range for this position is $180,000 - $200,000 with a bonus opportunity and customary benefits. Minimum Requirements/Qualifications: Bachelors degree in finance, economics, accounting, related field of study, or equivalent experience.7+ years of related investment experience.Expert understanding of investment analysis tools and public equities markets.Ability to deliver finished work products with a high degree of autonomy.Strong communication skills, analytical skills, and advanced knowledge of PC applications, such as Excel, FactSet, eVestment.Preferred Qualifications CFA or CFA candidate.
