Hispanic-Serving Institution Plans and directs the overall operation of a major department (with institutional oversight) and provides leadership for staff members. Meets ORP eligibility requirements. Under executive direction, performs highly varied administrative duties involving the use of independent judgment and professional skills. Responsible for all employees assigned to area.

Directs and manages immigrant and nonimmigrant caseload for TTUHSC by providing guidance and advice in planning and determining the appropriate immigration procedure for foreign national faculty, scholars, and staff.

The U.S. Government requires that a Principal Designated School Official, Designated School Official, Responsible Officer, or Alternate Responsible Officer be either a U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident. Bachelor's degree required; master's preferred. Seven years of progressively responsible management experience is required. Education beyond the bachelor's level may substitute for the required experience on a year-for-year basis.
