Manufacturing Engineer

DESCRIPTION Coordinates manufacturing costs for quote, design for manufacturing, pre-production builds and production launch through the involvement of cross-functional teams. Manages project budget.

RESPONSIBILITIES Input design for manufacturing criteria to Design Engineering for the introduction of new products. Develop/provide product/customer specific documentation (i.e., process instructions, quality control plan). Identify capital equipment appropriations (CEA's) and unique tooling required for new product implementation. Coordinate the implementation of all design verification, process verification builds and new product launch activities. Support Process Engineering in process/tooling development for all product specific processes. Utilize statistical techniques to summarize data to use in presentations. Work closely with quality group to ensure that customer complaints are resolved. Comply with and support the health, safety, and environmental programs, policies and procedures. EXPERIENCE/SKILLS REQUIRED Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline with three years experience in an electronics manufacturing engineering environment (thru-hole, SMT, final assembly, packaging); or equivalent combination of education and experience. Team leadership skills and the capability to communicate/influence at the plant staff level.
