Job Description: Overview
Gramercy Cellars, a family-owned winery producing 8,000 cases annually, seeks a Marketing, Communications, & Logistics Coordinator to join our small, close-knit team. The ideal candidate is entrepreneurial, with a positive attitude and strong interpersonal skills. They are collaborative, highly motivated, detail-oriented, and passionate about wine and the Washington wine industry.
Position Summary
As the Marketing, Communications, & Logistics Coordinator, you will play a key role in hospitality and customer experience. You will be the first point of contact for Gramercy Cellars, managing online sales, customer requests, and our POS database. Additionally, you will oversee and grow our social media presence, requiring proficiency in social media marketing and content creation.
Responsibilities
Communications Coordinator:
-Provide excellent written and verbal communication with attention to detail and a professional, hospitality-focused demeanor.
-Serve as the main point of contact for all Gramercy communication, managing all channels including email, phone, text messaging, and social media.
-Maintain the Gramercy calendar with details related to customer needs, requests, and visits.
-Coordinate with the Director of Operations to plan and execute three wine club shipments per year, managing database, communication, logistics, billing, customer service, fulfillment, pick-ups, and events.
-Develop and manage marketing campaigns, growth opportunities, and ongoing club concierge campaigns to reduce attrition and increase customer tenure and lifetime value.
-Establish new wine club tiers and create innovative opportunities to boost sales per customer.
Social Media Manager:
-Manage and grow Gramercy Cellars' social media presence across YouTube, Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, and other platforms.
-Ensure continuity across social media channels.
-Collaborate with staff and external vendors for photography opportunities at events, during harvest, etc., to create content and enhance marketing campaigns.
Online Sales Fulfillment & Shipping:
-Review and process orders, returns, and special requests from customers.
-Order, inventory, and manage all shipping packaging and materials.
-Communicate with customers and internal staff about shipments, maintaining detailed records in customer accounts and the internal calendar.
Other (as needed)
-Assist the Director of Operations in creating engaging events aimed at driving wine club sales, retaining customers, and attracting new ones. Events include pick-up parties, dinners, luncheons, winery sponsorships, both in Walla Walla and other locations.
-Assist in the tasting room during busy times and event weekends, greeting, hosting, and educating guests while promoting wine sales and club memberships.
Education, Training, and Qualifications:
-Bachelor's degree, preferred.
-Required: Two or more years of experience in winery hospitality, retail sales, social media, tasting room, communication, or related fields.
-Outstanding customer service skills with a commitment to timely and helpful responses, the ability to anticipate needs, and effectively resolve customer issues.
-Passion for and knowledge of wine and the Washington wine industry.
-Strong written and verbal communication skills with attention to detail and a professional demeanor.
-Excellent organizational skills with the ability to follow through on projects with minimal supervision.
-Ability to multitask while staying focused and organized in a fast-paced environment.
-Self-motivated with a commitment to excellence and high standards.
-Proficiency in Microsoft Word & Excel, Google Apps (Calendar, Drive, Docs, Sheets).
-Experience with FedEx software, POS, wine club database, ship compliant systems, eCellar, and Tock is a plus.
Additional Requirements:
-Must be 21+ years of age.
-Must be able to lift 45 lbs.
-Must be able to work occasional weekends, evenings, and special events.
-Must be willing to travel for work 6+ times per year.
