Material Handler - Shipping/Receiving

The Materials Associates are responsible for performing the following duties: The specific job assignment may entail some or all of the job functions. Associates are expected to rotate through various job functions.
We are looking for a Material Handler - Dock Control for 1st shift working Monday-Friday Compares identifying information and counts, weighs, or measures items of incoming, outgoing and being moved around the factor to verify information against bills of lading, invoices, orders, or other records Checks all materials being moved for accurate labeling, quantity and paperwork. Operates lift truck or use hand truck to move shipments from shipping and receiving area to storage or work area Operate a tugger pulling carts to pick up materials in the raw materials supermarket and delivering them to the production lines Affixes shipping labels and identification labels on items as required Processes computer transaction for incoming, outgoing and inter-plant moves in MAPICS and Future 3 as required Unpacks and examines incoming shipments, reject damaged items, records shortages, and corresponds with shipper to rectify damages and shortages.  Routes items to departments Examines outgoing shipments to ensure shipments meet specifications Maintains good housekeeping throughout the materials storage areas Complies with all safety policies and procedures May be required to train others Perform other duties as required Qualifications High School diploma or GED required. Minimum of 3 years' experience working in a manufacturing environment. Experience of two years working in a manufacturing materials department. Able to lift 40 pounds on a regular basis. Two years experience entering computer base transactions Three years Fork lift driving experience and a current certification
