Mechanic Class A - Painter Apply now Job no: 503551 Work type: Full-Time Location: Center City - Philadelphia, PA Categories: Drexel University Job Summary Drexel University Facilities Management Department is seeking a qualified candidate to be responsible for Painter / Multi-skilled position.
The schedule for this position is 1st shift - Wednesday - Sunday 8 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Essential Functions Support campus events with set-ups which include the installation of banners, signs, risers, etc; Respond to service calls for general building maintenance items campus-wide which will include work in classrooms, restrooms and occasionally residence halls, athletic facilities and outdoor work.
Calls will include repair requests for doors, windows, roofs, electrical, plumbing, furnishings, locks, safety protection and other items as required.
Other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications High School Diploma or GED 3-5 years experience is required Candidate must possess a valid driver's license The candidate must have experience in the following: taping, patching, spackle, spray, and working from a ladder or scaffolding.
The candidate must be able to mix paint, prime walls, roll, brush and cut in.
Preferred Qualifications The candidate must have multi skill trade experience preferably carpenter, electrician, and or plumber to support work issued through work order system focusing on restroom maintenance and renovations and occasionally to support outstanding/critical campus wide work orders.
The job requires an employee who can perform with minimum supervision and take the initiative to complete the assignment.

Compensation for this position is $31.99.
