Mechanical Engineer - New Orleans, LA $105K-$120K (pay commensurate with experience) **This position requires an active  Secret clearance or the ability to obtain a Secret clearance to be considered.** 
Position Overview The Mechanical Engineer will assist with managing repair, FSRM, and MILCON projects that require expertise in mechanical systems. The Mechanical Engineer will assist with the designs, plans, monitors, or inspection of mechanical systems critical to the MARFORRES mission of providing safe, secure, and usable Facilities for the Marine Corps Reserve units.
Required Experience, Education, Skills, Abilities:  Must be a US Citizen The ability to obtain a Clearance or Common Access Card (CAC) Bachelor's Degree in related field 3 to 10 years of experience Professional Engineering License, required Background knowledge in Direct Digital Control (DDC) systems, hot water systems, and Supervisory Control and Data Acquisitions (SCADA). Working knowledge of the DoD and Marine Corps policies and regulations related to facilities planning and engineering projects of special and MILCON scope. Experience working on DoD installations on facilities projects, maintenance, and operations, preferred. Experience managing MILCON projects ($50M-$150M) and special projects ($200K - $2M), preferred. Experience with facilities planning and programming (MILCON / special projects scope), preferred. Experience working with NAVFAC and Army Corps of Engineers, preferred. Use USMC information systems applications including Microsoft SharePoint, Microsoft Access, and Microsoft Project. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Strong organizational skills Knowledge of Microsoft operating system, Internet Explorer, Windows Explorer, Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook), and Adobe Acrobat DC. Competent in reading, writing, speaking, and understanding English. Travel – approximately 25% Remote work – allowable, though onsite work preferred. Must pass pre-employment qualifications.
