Responsibilities
• Develop multi-disciplined designs, from conceptual to final, including cost estimates and schedules.• Review and provide scope documents; assess A&E engineering designs.• Analyze asset failures using reliability tools.• Examine contractor proposals, construction documents, and ensure adherence to jurisdictional requirements.• Update design standards and operational procedures.• Strategize on both short and long-term infrastructure planning.• Support maintenance for utility system upgrades/repairs.• Oversee building automation system upgrades.• Engage in technical committees.
Requirements
• Bachelors in Mechanical Engineering or related engineering discipline.• Minimum 3 years in:• Interpreting engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications.• Leading engineering teams.• Using AutoCAD or similar CAD tools.• Familiarity with codes like NFPA, IBC, UPC, WSEC, and ASME.• Preferred:• 5+ years in mechanical engineering.• Expertise in industrial building systems: HVAC, chilled water, compressed air, fire protection, etc.• 3+ years in mechanical design and analysis.
