Our client is in search of an experienced Mechanical Engineering Manager to work in our maintenance organization. You will provide technical and TPM-focused developmental support to maintenance teammates. This role will report directly to the VP of Engineering and will work closely with both the Production and Reliability teams.
Responsibilities Ensure overall asset health and effectively analyze process concerns and performance gaps, guiding resources to resolve problems.Develop maintenance technical skills and ensure company mechanical engineering standards are met.Provide leadership and direction to the maintenance teammates in areas such as safety, housekeeping, 5S standards, lean manufacturing, planning, TPM/reliability, cost, efficiency, quality, and labor utilization (productivity).Implement TPM and Reliability best practices to ensure stability and machine efficiency.Maintain compliance with company policies, regulatory requirements, quality specifications, and safety standards.Provide leadership in TPM activities such as data collection through PMs, maintenance planning, coordinating planned work during outages, and continuously improving the maintenance planning and execution process.Direct responsibility for departmental spend and managing budget.Support safety initiatives across the site and establish benchmarks within the maintenance team.Work closely with capital project teams and initiatives to ensure maintenance and reliability are integrated into capital projects.Train and develop well-qualified, highly motivated teammates.Maintain continuous communication and transparency with all involved departments on the status of projects and the development progress of direct team members.Improve/enhance the pertinent technical skill sets of the department that show continual growth in positions helping the company meet and exceed its specified targets.Requirements Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical EngineeringMinimum 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environmentProven work experience as a Project/Plant/Manufacturing/Maintenance EngineerExperience with Predictive Maintenance or Condition-Based Monitoring (Vibration analysis, infrared thermography, ultrasonic emissions)Familiar with TPM principlesGreenfield experience is a plusDemonstrated commitment to zero incident safety culture, teammate engagement, active teamwork, continuous improvement while practicing JW's Target BehaviorsSolid organizational skills and time-managementProficient in MS Office products and MS ProjectProficient in AutoCAD or similar drawing package
