Summary
JOB SUMMARY:
Manages and directs all aspects of operations of the LifeBridge Health Medical Library serving Sinai Hospital and Grace Medical Center, Northwest Hospital and Carroll Medical Center, including but not limited to the operational and capital budget, selection of materials, organization of the facilities customer relations and satisfaction, as well as education of users and staff in the use of knowledge based resources.
Searches and retrieves from informational databases and knowledge-based resources and manipulates these databases and resources in order to meet our customers (all medical staff, residents, students, nurses, physicians midlevels, etc.) needs.
Provides direction and instruction to facilitate our customers' access and use of knowledge-based information resources.
Manages as well as works as a team member to facilitate the most effective and efficient use of knowledge-based resources, equipment, budget and the facilities.
Facilitates all customers' use and access to all knowledge based resources.
Cataloging of all materials for the library and assuring organization of the materials allows customer access.
Maintain and update the Libraries Website to facilitate ease of use for customers.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Master's degree in library or information sciences required with at least 2-3 years' experience in Library Services role
Education discipline: Library Science, Information or Knowledge Management
2-3 years of prior experience
