Leidos QTC Health Services and our affiliated medical professional corporations ("PCs"), Jamshid Tamiry, M.D., P.C., collaborate closely with government and non-government customers to address current and future program needs within the health services domain. In coordination with the PCs, we specialize in disability-focused medical examinations, independent medical exams and review services, occupational health services, diagnostic testing, and case management solutions. As innovators, we focus on advancing technologies that improve service delivery, with a particular emphasis on enhancing accessibility for examinees in rural communities. With a proven track record of continuous improvement and steady growth, we now handle over 2 million appointments annually.
We seek a Medical Review Officer to support the company's strategic growth and operational execution.  Additionally, the Medical Review Officer will provide clinical leadership for company employed and contracted providers ensuring high quality services for all QTC lines of business.  The selected candidate will also be responsible for the interpretation and analysis of medical examination results in accordance with state and federal laws.
Candidates must reside or being willing to reside within a commutable distance of a Leidos QTC Health Services clinic.
Your Role at Jamshid Tamiry, M.D., P.C.:

Consistently exercises exceptional attention to detail in the review of examination results.
Thoroughly applies contractual and regulatory guidelines and interprets nuances of exam results to render quality medical determinations regarding job position eligibility, medical surveillance, and regulatory and contract compliance.
Exercises considerable latitude in independent decision-making and judgment.
Maintains a solid understanding of the specific contract's guidelines, requirements, and addendums.
Collaborates with exam management team of Physicians, Medical Review Nurses, and Program Managers for efficient processing of medical determinations
Communicates exam results and provides medical determinations to clients in support of clients' occupational health business needs
Assists in formulating, documenting, maintaining, and implementing guidelines dictated by medical directives and contractual or regulatory updates and requirements.
Performs duties in a safe manner. Follows the corporate safety policy. Participates in and supports safety meetings, training, and goals. Ensures safe operating conditions within an area of responsibility. Encourages co-workers to work safely. Identifies "close calls" and/or safety concerns to supervisory personnel.
Be able to participate in physical courses required to be a reviewing officer (example: Three day Firefighting courses).
Perform Medical Review Officer (MRO) responsibilities as required by current and future contracts
Perform other duties and responsibilities assigned.

Pay Range:   Salary: $270,000 - $330,000 with up to 15% annual bonus potential

Well-developed written and verbal communication skills
Advanced skills with computers, Electronic Medical Records, and case management tools to include proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
Working knowledge of workplace health and safety concepts and OSHA regulations

Education and/or Experience: (includes certificate & licenses)

Medical Doctor (MD) of Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) with Current/active unrestricted license to practice medicine in the United States and the ability to be credentialed.
ABMS Board Certified in Occupational Medicine, Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, or Emergency Medicine.
Strong clinical background required with minimum five (5) years out-patient clinical practice experience, including standard office-based diagnostic testing.
Proficiency with computer and common office equipment and MS Office products is required.
Must exhibit a strong analytical ability to research and interpret detailed medical information and effectively communicate verbally and in writing.
Valid BLS and ACLS for Healthcare Providers required
Ability to earn and maintain clinical training/certifications as required by current and future contracts/customers
Must be eligible to obtain and maintain Government clearances (LARS/Public Trust Clearance, etc.)

Preferred Qualifications:

MRO Certification


Experience with dictation equipment and federally regulated medical examinations.
Active government clearance strongly desired
Military background strongly preferred
