The Vita Coco company is searching for a Merchandiser/Sales Support. The Merchandiser/Sales Support will visit key accounts in their assigned territory and work with local distributors and distributor sales reps to increase visibility, availability, and overall presence of our brands inside assigned territories. The position requires a self-motivated, organized, energetic, and creative person.
Reporting to the Senior Director of Market Development, this role is based out of Long Island, NY. This is a part time role requiring a minimum availability of 24 hours a week (three 8-hour days).
Main Responsibilities: Deliver large quantities of product to key accounts in their assigned territoryAchieve explosive revenue growth in assigned retail accountsPhysically build out both small and large displays using cases of product ranging from 10-35 poundsDevelop and maintain an organized list of key accounts in the territoryDevelop plans within territory to execute programming given from Vita CocoSell our brand to retailers in coordination with local distributors and brokersCall on key decision makers bi-monthly basis to optimize in store availabilityEnhance the business by gaining new points of distributionProper shelf management positions for cold and ambientPermanent and paper POS placements and display merchandisingBe an expert in all things Vita CocoVisit our top stores to reinforce strong relationshipsSeed product in existing accounts through merchandising and identify potential new accountsBe willing to learn and participate in all aspects of Vita Coco Qualifications: Must possess a valid driver's licenseAbility to navigate the streets of New York City in a vehicleExcellent communication and follow up skillsInnovative and creative in approaching accounts and expanding the businessAbility to formulate account strategies and execute against themProfessional demeanor in working with coworkers, distributors, and consumersAbility to lift cases pf product between 10-35 poundsStrong customer service and problem-solving skillsAbility to work independently as well as part of a team At The Vita Coco Company, compensation decisions are dependent upon a variety of factors, which may include, but are not limited to: skill set, experience, education, training, licensure and certifications, knowledge and abilities of the applicant, alignment with market data, and other business and organizational needs. A reasonable estimate of the current pay for this position is $19.00. This range may vary for positions that will be performed outside of California, Colorado, Nevada, New York City, Westchester County, NY, Rhode Island, or Washington.
