The UX Research team sits within a multidisciplinary team of researchers, Zillow Research & Insights (ZRI), which includes Customer and Partner Insights Strategists, UX Researchers, Behavioral Scientists, and Population Scientists.
We all play a significant role within the greater product and marketing organizations.
ZRI sits within Zillow Experience Design (ZxD), a fast-paced, collaborative, and driven product design team.

About the role
As a UX researcher on our Mover Experience UX Research Team, you're responsible for executing research to shape phenomenal customer experiences.
You'll provide our data-hungry team with meaningful customer insights and work with designers and cross-discipline partners to evaluate experience outcomes.
Our mission is to make Zillow the most-loved place to discover, buy, sell, or rent a home.
You Will Get To: Apply appropriate research methods (qualitative and quantitative) to evaluate customer experiences and identify opportunities to improve Zillow's customer experiences.
Lead research activities like user interviews, surveys, diary studies, co-design sessions, concept evaluation, and usability testing independently and collaborate with senior and principal UX researchers on larger projects.
Synthesize and frame customer needs to guide product strategy and innovation.
Advocate for customer needs throughout the design process and ensure they align with business initiatives.
Present research insights and regularly engage with designers, product managers, data scientists, engineers, and other researchers.
Travel to in-person collaboration sessions and team building events ~4-6 weeks per year Contribute, learn, grow, and have fun.
This role has been categorized as a Remote position.

In California, Colorado, Connecticut, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, Nevada, New York, Washington state, and Washington DC the standard base pay range for this role is $123,200.00 - $196,800.00 Annually.
This base pay range is specific to California, Colorado, Connecticut, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, Nevada, New York, Washington state, and Washington DC and may not be applicable to other locations.
In addition to a competitive base salary this position is also eligible for equity awards based on factors such as experience, performance and location.
Actual amounts will vary depending on experience, performance and location.
Who you are 2+ years executing UX research or similar role conducting primary research in an applied setting.
Familiarity and interest in designing and executing evaluative research studies to assess digital experiences.
Experience moderating remote/virtual research with research participants (e.g., interviews, usability testing).
Expertise in survey design.
Expertise in descriptive and inferential statistics.
Familiarity with data analysis using R or Python and familiarity with SQL.
Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Experience prioritizing research activities to deliver practical insights and direction quickly.
Interest in exploring new experimental methodologies and tools.
Strong and growing product sense.
Nice to have: PhD in relevant field (social science, psychology, HCI)
