The Diocese of Rochester and The Diocese of Canterbury are each seeking a Net Zero Advisor with strong networking skills and the ability to build good relationships with colleagues, volunteers and stakeholders. These two new roles are funded for two years. Please specify in your application which location is your preference. Key ResponsibilitiesThe post-holder(s) will:
Work as part of a joint Net Zero Programme Team for Rochester and Canterbury DiocesesOffer advice, information and sign posting support to parishes, including but not limited to fundraising and grant opportunities, technology updates, and case studiesEnsure the Action Plan is a dynamic document, which is reviewed regularly and updated in line with Church of England and Diocesan environment policiesCollate data on carbon emissions and chart the data against the Action Plan, summarise data and trends, and contribute to the writing of associated reportsImprove the diocese's data and knowledge, through supporting and encouraging parishes to complete the annual Energy Footprint Tool, and increasing response ratesThe Ideal CandidateYou will have experience in the Net Zero Carbon field, a proven track record of strong networking skills, experience of assimilating data, and providing clear, good quality advice.
