We would love for you to join us to make a difference in the lives of the children we serve by providing them with the skills that will allow them to learn, grow, and live a fulfilling life.If you enjoy working with children, and you would like to join our team, please apply!*Responsibilities: ** Complete documentation for all pre-authorizations, initial evaluations, re-evaluations, insurance reports, medical reviews, appeal processes and progress reports* Participate in weekly individual and multidisciplinary case-based group mentoring* Provide 1:1 therapeutic intervention and group instruction based on client needs* Utilize goals and objectives to develop and implement treatment plans; adjust plans as needed* Educate family/caregivers on disorders, treatments, interventions, and at-home practices* Collaborate with other clinicians and the child's physician and/or school when needed* Maintain OT equipment, and conduct staff training and safety checks for equipment use* Complete new patient intakes and parental interviews for therapy* Conduct evaluations to identify client's needs*Qualifications:** OTR/L (required) or OTD* Current license from the State of Illinois in Occupational Therapy (required)* Personable, playful, positive, and patient with the ability to effectively build rapport with children and families* Strong knowledge of child development (specifically birth to 18 years) (preferred)* Previous or current experience working with children (preferred)* Experience with sensory processing disorders (preferred)* Ability to organize and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced position* Excellent written and verbal communication skills* Ability to work independently as well as on a team* Must be dog-friendly.
