Job Description
Easterseals of Southeastern Pennsylvania's Philadelphia Division located near City Avenue and Monument Road is currently seeking a full time Pediatric Occupational Therapist for Easterseals school-based Early Intervention and Charter School programs serving primarily 3-5 year old preschool-aged children. Some school-age work is possible as well.
The Pediatric Occupational Therapist in this role will evaluate, develop IEP goals and consult with other educational and therapeutic professionals as well as serve the students per their IEP. The Therapist will help students develop skills including organizational strategies, handwriting, visual motor and motor skills as appropriate to the setting, while collaborating with parents and classroom staff to adapt environments and tools.
Experienced Pediatric Occupational Therapists as well as recent graduates are welcome to apply as mentoring is available to advance treatment skills. Qualifications
Masters degree from an AOTA accredited program required.
Current PA Occupational Therapist licensure required.
Possess understanding of early childhood development and experience with school age/ educational practice model preferred.
Access to reliable transportation required and willingness to travel locally as needed; mileage reimbursement applies.
Excellent communication skills.
