Cardiology Research Scientist: Augusta University The Division of Cardiology/Department of Medicine and the Vascular Biology Center are seeking a Physician-Scientist or Ph.D. Scientist for an immediate opening. A broad range of interests can be accommodated although interests in pulmonary hypertension and/or cardiac inflammation would be ideal. For M.D. candidates, clinical time is negotiable based on interests but is not expected to exceed 20%. The Vascular Biology Center is home to researchers from multiple departments, with emphasis on endothelial and redox biology, atherosclerosis, hypertension, peripheral artery disease, cardiac failure, retinal vascular disease, obesity, pulmonary vascular diseases, and stem cell biology. The Center has its own graduate program and excellent shared facilities and resources. The Medical College of Georgia has a long track record of excellence in cardiovascular research and currently holds a T32 training grant, P01 and ranks in the top echelons of NHLBI and AHA for research funding.
