Open Date Description The UW Department of Neurology and its associated Memory and Brain Wellness Center seek a clinical investigator to join the Clinical Core of the Alzheimer's Disease Research Center and to oversee MBWC-associated clinical trials in Alzheimer's disease (AD) and related dementias (ADRD). The UW ADRC is one of the longest-running NIH-designated AD centers of excellence in the nation, integrated with the Memory and Brain Wellness Center clinic, its associated Clinical Trials, and an innovative Program for Community Education and Impact housed in The Memory Hub. The successful candidate will join a strong multidisciplinary group of clinicians and investigators and have a component of clinical responsibility in the UW Medicine Memory and Brain Wellness Center.
This is a full-time appointment and is an open rank (without tenure for reasons due to funding). The rank is commensurate with qualification and experience.
Assistant Professors are eligible for multi-year appointments that align with a 12-month service period (July 1-June 30). Faculty with 12-month service periods are paid for 11 months of service over a 12-month period (July-June), meaning the equivalent of one month is available for paid time off. The base salary range for this position in this title will be $18,644 - $22,084 per month ($223,728 to $265,008 per year), commensurate with experience, discipline, and qualifications, or as mandated by a U.S. Department of Labor prevailing wage determination.
Associate and Full Professors hold indefinite appointments that align with a 12-month service period (July 1-June 30). Faculty with 12-month service periods are paid for 11 months of service over a 12-month period (July-June), meaning the equivalent of one month is available for paid time off. The base salary range for this position in this title will be $20,764 - $26,679 per month ($249,168 to $320,148 per year), commensurate with experience, discipline, and qualifications, or as mandated by a U.S. Department of Labor prevailing wage determination.
The anticipated start date of this appointment is July 1, 2025.
Qualifications Requires an MD or DO degree or foreign equivalent. Completion of a clinical neurophysiology or epilepsy fellowship training program is required. Must be eligible for medical licensure in the state of Washington.
In order to be eligible for University sponsorship for an H-1B visa, graduates of foreign (non-U.S.) medical schools must show successful completion of all three steps of the U.S. Medical Licensing Exam (USMLE), or equivalent as determined by the Secretary of Health and Human Services.
