Operations Associate  The Editorialist Operations Associate is responsible for supporting the returns and shipping processes for the Editorialist Private Client and Native Checkout experiences. This entails working in-person at the Editorialist NY shipping center. The role involves managing administrative tasks while ensuring the secure and timely delivery of packages, documents, and correspondence. In the office, responsibilities include coordinating returns processing, maintaining records, generating reports, and facilitating communication between departments and customers. The role also requires handling deliveries, meeting with vendors across the city, and ensuring compliance with company policies and protocols. A deep understanding of the luxury fashion industry is important to create a seamless digital experience for our customers. The position requires a flexible schedule to meet the needs of our diverse clientele. The ideal candidate will have a strong interest in fashion, logistics, and have a strong business acumen.
\n Your Responsibilities Manage daily office operations, ensuring smooth workflow in coordination with returns and shipping activities.Answer calls, respond to emails, and handle correspondence with vendors, customers, and internal teams.Organize physical and digital records, including invoices, returns documentation, and shipping records.Track and update the status of returns in the system, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.Communicate with customers or retail partners to resolve return-related issues and discrepancies.Assist in maintaining accurate inventory records by reconciling returned goods with system entries.Order and maintain supplies for the office and warehouse staff, including packing materials for returned goods.Collect and deliver packages, documents, and correspondence between offices, clients, vendors, and other business partners.Professionally pack and ship luxury garments and merchandiseEnsure timely and accurate delivery of goods to designated locations.Handle sensitive packages with care and security.Maintain accurate logs of pickups, deliveries, and recipient acknowledgments.You'll be working with a distributed team of engineers across the US, Canada, Philippines, and India. More About You 1-2 years of progressive experience in retail, logistics, and/or office admin is preferred, but not required.Excellent communication skills, both written and spoken.Demonstrable ability to proactively ask questions, analyze and influence, rather than merely react, and deliver.Experience in a marketplace or online platform environment is highly preferred.Strong knowledge of Slack, Google and Excel SpreadsheetsExtremely detail oriented, organized, can do attitude and strong initiativeStrong problem-solving skills and ability to handle escalated issues effectively with a customer-centric mindset.Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.Ability to lift up to 29 pounds and frequently push, pull, squat, bend and reachAbility to ascend/descend stairs, and travel throughout the city regularly to coordinate with vendors in-person Bonus pointsIf you have experience working at an e-commerce marketplace, and/or love fashion or personal luxury goods.You are a team player who is comfortable working across an organization that is growing while doing.You communicate regularly and clearly with your co-workers and are never afraid to ask questions.You love what you do and are curious about all facets of Editorialist.
