The Operations Supervisor oversees providing operational oversight for all production at the facility. You will oversee personnel, making sure that AgState's safety standards, quality, are operational functions are completed in a timely and safe manner. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Execute routine operations of a grain/agronomy facility, ensuring direct reports are following policies and procedures related to employee and environmental compliance. Partner with other supervisors to meet customer specifications and timeline. Develop operational plans and monitor routine operations for all production processes. Assist in operating fertilizer plants and mixing chemicals for application. Prepare rail car and load cars according to specifications. Fill customer fertilizer orders according to the orders, run samples to ensure compliance with order, as well as Federal regulations, help load vehicles with product, and maintain inventory records. Train people to ensure location meets various government standards such as OSHA and AgState by conducting employee meetings to inform and educate. Prepare weekly inventory reports for various departments and assist location leaders with supplies, quality, and age of inventory. Perform general housekeeping--sweep and clean--facility to maintain appropriate dust levels and maintain AgState image. EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS Associate degree or three to four years of related experience. Additional training to obtain various licensing. Supervisory skills training, career development training and other in-company industry specific training sessions.
