How will you make an impact? The Packaging Operator is responsible for operating, troubleshooting, and assisting with equipment setup/startup. You will also assist with leading the flow of a packaging line, GMP documentation, in process troubleshooting, breakdown investigations, and repairs related to packaging production.
What will you do? Observe mechanical equipment in operation and follow good troubleshooting practices to optimize performance Operate, recognize, and remedy quality problems, and perform changeovers and cleanups as required. Perform packaging line operation, including operating/monitoring equipment, inspection, hand cartoning or packing, labeling, palletizing, cleanup, hopper filling, and other duties as required. Assist in Line Clearances between batches, follow cleanup sheet directions, follow verbal orders or requests from group leader/supervisor, and perform other duties as required Adjust functional parts of equipment and control instrumentation. Install or replace worn or faulty components for equipment performance restoration or improvement. Test equipment performance and record all data. Participate in PPI (Practical Process Improvements), Lean and Continuous Improvement activities including 5S activities. Work with Supervisor, Unit Coordinator, & Mechanics to ensure that quality, waste and efficiency are meeting requirements. Complete improvement activities on quality and work process efficiency. Follow quality standards in accordance with company policy. How will you get here? High school diploma or equivalent required. Applicants with the experience/exposure of working in a cleanroom environment are highly sought after. Troubleshooting, assembly and testing skills required. Experienced working in a related manufacturing line. Knowledge, Skills, Abilities Basic knowledge and experience using manufacturing equipment & mechanical proficiency Communicate effectively Ability to read work instructions, and procedure manuals/diagrams Ability to work well with minimal supervision.
