Your Role and Responsibilities
IBM Consulting - Federal is seeking a highly skilled multi-disciplined individual with project management skills to join us as a Palo Alto NGFW Engineer in this customer-facing role. As a member of our dedicated security team, you will support a dedicated 24x7x365 Federal program operation. You will be working in a fast-paced environment on a diverse set of technologies like Azure, Palo Alto, CheckPoint, and Arista to name a few.
The ideal candidate will possess significant experience in hybrid platforms (cloud and on-prem), networking, virtualization, and security. You'll possess a strong knowledge base of NIST standards and have certification experience in several areas such as CompTIA Security+, NGFW, CYSA, GICSP, CSEC, CND, or SSCP.
Required Technical and Professional Expertise
5+ years Microsoft Windows server, AD, and systems experience and DoD 8570 Certification3+ years leading infrastructure projects3+ years cybersecurity related work5+ years of level 3 support3+ years Solid understanding of Azure CloudScripting: Good PowerShell scripting skillsGood knowledge of security concepts, IAM, VPN, and NextGen firewallsDoD Approved 8570 certification REQUIRED such as: CompTIA Security+CE, CCNA-Security, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, CND, SSCPPreferred Technical and Professional Expertise
