Role Overview: Could you be our next Insurance Regulation Paralegal? Globe Life is looking for an experienced Insurance Regulation Paralegal to join the team!

In this role, you will be responsible for supporting the Lead Paralegal by researching insurance law and helping to ensure that the company's insurance policies, advertising material, and other related forms comply with insurance laws and regulations in all states and jurisdictions. Additionally, the Paralegal will help draft policy form language, revise state specific notice language, respond to internal regulatory inquiries, and complete annual form certifications and reporting.

This is a hybrid position located in McKinney, TX (WFH Monday & Friday, In Office Tuesday-Thursday). This role has the opportunity to be performed in a remote capacity. What You Will Do: Research insurance laws; using Westlaw or other legal research service. Stay abreast of relevant state and federal legislation, regulations, and Department of Insurance Bulletins which affect insurance products and related advertising. Provide product development support by drafting and proofreading policy forms, benefit riders, applications, or other related materials. Research regulations to determine validity of objections and assist with responses to objections. Discuss and resolve problems with form language with other home office personnel. Attend various project meetings. Assist with the review of test material and data related to new product implementation. Maintain submission and approval documentation. Help prepare ancillary forms for new product filings as required by state insurance departments utilizing SERFF. Other duties as assigned. What You Can Bring: Bachelor's Degree and/or Paralegal Certificate. Legal or insurance industry experience. Strong proofing and analytical skills. Demonstrated research and problem-solving skills. Strong written and verbal communication skills with competency in grammar, spelling, and punctuation. Ability to critically analyze issues, problem solve and recommend actionable responses. Ability to work well both independently and in a team environment. Ability to respond appropriately and professionally to home office staff and outside insurance department analysts or examiners, in writing, in person and on the telephone. Ability to undertake multiple projects and tasks simultaneously. Ability to organize and plan. Extremely detail oriented and very well organized. Ability to perform varied tasks using personal computers and mainframe administrative programs.
