Our Parts Counterperson is responsible for assisting all mechanics and customers in purchasing needed parts and supplies. The individual is also responsible for achieving monthly sales and gross forecasts and for seeking out and soliciting business. The Parts Counterperson reports directly to the Parts Manager. Essential Duties & Responsibilities: Oversee the parts sales process from start to finishCommunicate with customers on parts status, both in person and over the phoneCommunicate with staff and customers in a friendly and professional mannerLearn our online parts catalog system and be able to accurately calculate estimatesAnswers phone calls, providing price quotes and other informationReviews body shop estimates to be sure the parts that are ordered are correct and all pricing is in line with the estimatePulls and fills orders from stockMaintain a weekly bin checks to ensure accuracy of stockNotifies parts manager of out-of-stock parts or shop materials that need immediate attentionLocates out-of-stock parts from outside source and submits an emergency order, if necessaryMake sure all internal requests for parts are billed on service repair orderReceives payment from retail customers or obtains credit authorizationSet up orders for daily shipment, delivery, or pick-upDo you have what it takes?
