Job Description - Patient Care Associate - Neurology Lunder 7 (3297228) Patient Care Associate - Neurology Unit- Lunder 7Lunder 7 is seeking a Patient Care Associate (PCA) for Day and Night per-diem coverage, including rotating weekend and holiday coverage.
Neurology regularly admits patients with strokes, head and spinal trauma, as well as general neuromedical and neurosurgical patients. Our nursing staff is highly respected for their clinical expertise and compassionate care for patients with neuro-oncology and epilepsy-monitored needs.
What are we looking for? Assisting the healthcare team, the PCA promotes a safe and caring environment for patients under the guidance of an RN.The PCA assists patients with daily living needs, monitoring & reading vital signs, drawing blood, and obtaining EKGs. Responds to patient requests in a timely manner, safeguarding patient confidentiality, monitoring patient safety, and always communicating in a respectful manner.What do we have to offer? Required: Must have recent experience and/or training in clinical patient care.Preferred: Licensed, certified, or enrolled student in a Nursing Assistant, Medical Assistant, Mental Health Technician, or EMT accredited program at the time of hire, ORCandidate enrolled in a Nursing, Pre-Med, PA undergraduate program, with at least one semester of patient care rotations completed at the time of hire.Massachusetts General Hospital is an Affirmative Action Employer.
